Office Policies

APPOINTMENT POLICIES:

At Kids Dental Specialists, we recommend morning appointments for younger children as they are typically more refreshed than any other time of day and we can spend more time to aid in their comfort. School children with extensive dental needs should also be seen in the morning for this reason. In our experience, building familiarity and trust by ensuring successful dental visits in your child’s earlier years will help us meet our goals of Maintaining Healthy Smiles for years to come with your child. As dental appointments are an excused absence, please let us know and we can provide an excuse form for you. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when periodic dental care is maintained.

RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

Appointment times are reserved exclusively for each patient. We ask that you please notify our office 24 hours in advance for your reserved routine care (or 1 business day if over the weekend) and 3 business days prior to your treatment appointment date via email, voicemail, or text, if you are unable to keep your appointment. Another patient who may need our care could be scheduled if we have sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we kindly ask for this notification so we may make our preparations.

LATE ARRIVALS

We kindly ask for a notification if you will be more than 5 minutes late so that we may prepare for your delayed arrival. If more than 15 minutes of your reserved appointment time has passed, we may require you to reschedule to another date/time or there may be a possibility to have a small wait to be accommodated near your missed appointment time. We ask this of you so that we respect all our patients reserved appointment times that day.

NO SHOW

We will make every effort to ensure you are reminded of your reserved appointment time via email, phone call, text, or postcard. Please let us know via the avenues provided if you are unable to make your appointment so that we may accommodate other patient dental needs who may be waiting to be scheduled.

APPOINTMENT CHARGES

As every effort will be made to accommodate your preference in a reserved appointment, excessive/patterns of violations to our Appointment Policies may result in a $75 charge per patient per occurrence.

FINANCIAL POLICY:

Payment for professional dental services is due at the time services are rendered. We will make every effort to provide a treatment plan which fits your timetable and budget, while providing your child’s quality dental care. We accept cash, personal checks, most major credit cards, and care credit.

DENTAL INSURANCE POLICY:

As a courtesy to our patients, we will file your insurance claim with the insurance company provided for dental services your child receives at Kids Dental Specialists. In the event the insurance company, for any reason, does not pay, the patient/guardian/insured is responsible for any outstanding balance for services provided that are not fully covered by insurance, and may be billed for this remaining balance.
